每組 200 BOX 包含 200 片長條木板，1本說明書以及收納大紙盒。

為了實現「從小住在城堡裡」的夢想，發明家Tom Brueggen從立方體開始慢慢修正，歷經15年的反複實驗，最終得出KAPLA積木的黃金比例 - 1 : 3 : 15，

這樣的黃金比例讓長板積木有無比可能，更是開放式遊戲玩家所鍾愛的積木款式之一。

在看到孩子們玩成品木頭後，Tom用他的母語荷蘭語將其命名為"KAPLA" (小木板) 並發行。

Kapla積木已經有35年左右的歷史，是法國教育、文化、科技部推薦並納入教育計畫的教材，在歐洲是許多學校必備教具。

TOM於1996年在羅浮宮首次展出KAPLA作品，被策展人稱為是21世紀最具代表性的玩具，

而當時作品的許多創作元素 – 窗、屋頂也在後來成為KAPLA立體創作的經典搭建技巧。

除了法國，KAPLA在日本也受到高度評價，不只是學校，也走入家庭。

歷經15年實驗出來的完美尺寸(11.7 cm x 2.34 cm x 0.78 cm)，其中一個秘密在於，這樣的比例可以讓積木有更多「剛剛好」的組合 ----

5個中短邊剛好是1段長邊；3個小短邊剛好是1段中長邊…發現這巧妙之處了嗎 ? 這樣的比例加上精準的切割技巧，奠定了KAPLA的地位，甚至有KAPLA藝術家呢 !!

很多的理所當然都是在千錘百鍊之後。

從平面到立體

扁平的長方體積木，以平面構圖是線條也能填色，小孩可以任意框出自己的創作，

利用木片的3個放置方式( 站、坐、平 )以及間距拿捏，就能做出許多變化。

而這樣的概念在進入 3D立體創作更是有無限可能性。

品質與顏色

Kapla有原木色與10種彩色，顏色經過精心調配，無論是同色系、撞色系都都十分好看。

使用食用顏料染色，能看到木頭原本的紋路，切面也處理得很好，沒有毛邊不刮手，塗層均勻平滑，也因此才能做出需要精密結合的作品。

Kapla玩法不設限，1個人能玩，5個人也可以；可以小品可以大作，

沒有黏膠，積木之間單純利用摩擦力達到的微妙平衡做出的建築作品，讓人驚嘆大自然「力」的展現。
